Ok, i have purchased an engine from someone in the trade and was told it would be guaranteed for saturday (yesterday) even double checked it was all ok on friday.

So i give my mechanic the car, he strips it all down and guess what happens next . . . The fookin engine didn't turn up :confused: .

How pissed off does that make you.

I have now paid for a days labour and had no work done so thats cost me an extra 200quid :rant: .

 

My mechanic is very pissed off as he now wont have time to do it until next week :rant:

I now dont have a way of getting to work as i NEED my car.

Hopefully the guarateed saturday delivery was paid which is what ive been advised of and then i shall be claiming my money back.

Don't know what will happen if it hasn't been but im so pi$$ed off about this :rant: :rant:

That bugs me...if you say you are gonna do it, then do it. Can't stand all this unreliability in people...

why is your mechain charging you 200 quid extra ? same amount of work mate, if the engine isnt there, then he got nothing to do on yours, hes taking the pi55 mate, there is no extra work to be done cause of a delay is there?

I'm sure it'll all be worth it when you get it sorted.

Mechanic sounds like hes taking a hard line but if he passed up other work for this job then he would have lost out on a whole days pay....someones gotta be held accountable and I hope it doesn't end up with Bird cos he needs to catch a break!!

HH300ZX got it in one, he set the day aside to d my car.

Ive now got more bad news, he's going to donny next week so im possibly going to be without a car til the following neek now all cos of it not turning up on time :cry: :cry: :cry:

 

Hopefully i can claim the lost money back from the courier for not doing their jobs properly!

Bird, no offence mate, but seeing as a courier doesnt deliver on a sunday or after a certain time on a ssturday, he had time to do other work, and if he only has your car there, then that doesnt install a great deal of confidence mate.

 

My opinion, for what its worth, he taking the piss out of you.

does he seriously only take a car at a time in? he must sit around an awful lot !!!!!!

 

and once the engine was late arriving, comman sense should have taken over.

1). I wouldn't be posting it on here, (Better to speak to the TLO by pm or phone if a trader on here)

2). I wouldve been straight on to the sender

3). I wouldve been on to delivery company

4). No ****ing way would I have paid £200 or let him start if engine wasnt there beacause thats your daily drive. Your getting the piss taken bud

lol, i expected to at least have an engine there lol.

it was getting done saturday and sunday mate but the car was already done just waiting for the engine to come and go straight in
