i've not heard anything from the member who was going to buy it so might end up putting it on ebay. (this is not going to plan. got loads to sell as well)

the engine used to pull really strong to.

can someone confirm the results as good or bad.

dsr 130 psi ..... psr 120 psi

dsc 125 psi ..... psc 125 psi

dsf 130 psi ..... psf 125 psi

any advice would be greatfull.

forgot to mention the test was done from cold, with all the plugs out.

cant see what the problem is.a cold engine giving 120psi isnt anything to worry about.normally comp tests are done with the engine hot to expand the rings.adding oil to the engine when cold will give a higher reading but with those readings it doesnt prove ring failure.the readings are very similar this probaly indicates that the engine is fine.youd probaly get 140ish if the engine was hot.

mark the problem i have now is the engine is out, so i have no way of running it to get the reading. any ideas.

i've spoke to my mechanic who pulled the engine and he thought i was taking the pi$$ when i told him it was fooked,(he used to drive it a lot) but like i said the engine used to pull like a train, and a few day's b4 i took her off the road it even showed a supra tt it's heals.

i've spoke to graham the lad who was going to buy it off me and he could'nt understand why it ran so smooth if it was bolixed

I have never tested an engine's comp readings cold, but if you could persuade a member to do this with a cold engine it would solve your dilemna :)

look forward to seeing the results :D

Sounds like there might be nothing wrong with the engine afterall,

besides, if the rings who gone who you not notice it via bad performance like my car

Yeah, that doesn't always solve the problem. I bought another one from a forum member and it's shafted and I've lost a load of money as he can't even be arsed to reply to my PMs.

Sorry Si mate, i didn't know you were having problems after buying another engine, hopefully you and the forum member will be able to sort it out mate.

lookily mine is coming with a warranty for 3 months

I wish. Had not response from him what so ever despite sending him about 3 messages.

So, as my other thread suggests, do NOT buy from user 'gixxar'.
