I want a engine start button but really dont want to have to put the key into the ignition to get it to work,

Is there a way I could use a immobiliser ( the type with the fob type thingies ;) , i know what i mean) junk the ignition barrel and go for a engine start button to be pressed when the immobiliser fob is in?

yeah big problem

i own shares in optimax

Havnt had any mech problems on this tho, soon as i got it I had the cam belts and water pump and aux belts done then the basics i did myself like the plugs and oil and filter, fitted a gearbox oil cooler as its a TT auto, problems come from heat in the engine bay making most plastic plugs brittle so when you come to change anything they snap...grrrr.Look in the faq section for the buyers guide, would advise an extended test drive of a Z just to get to know it and see if any niggles appear.

dump the steering lock and get a removable steering wheel - any chav with a puny body can break a steering lock anyway.
