In the 'Masterclass' article on page 92-95 of the April '06 JTuner mag, there is an interview with Clive Seddon of RC Developments, Evo specialists. On page 95 Clive is asked what his least favourite Japanese car is, and why, and he responds:-

 

"The Nissan 300ZX. It's atrocious in every way: looks, engine, everything. I won't accept one in the workshop!"

 

And to make matters worse, JTuner have chosen to use this quote as a large text caption on page 94's main picture!! I know it's only one man's opinion - which he is entitled to, even though he's wrong (obviously ;)) - but I find it a little unfair for a supposedly unbiased publication to highlight this derogatory comment.

for him to be beaten mate, im afraid it would take a hell of a lot. This evo does constant 10.3 1/4 miles and norris designs can do them in 9.7. be a good race though. but dont forget also one is 4 wheel drive and can get traction easily. I have a dvd and even the 1000bhp supra couldnt keep up with him.

Any for the record my 300 was far from being a bag of shit, Im much prefer my GT4, there are some elements of the z i miss, however on balance , my gt4 is the car i should have bought instead of a 300. Sorry if it offends you 300 lovers, hell i was one once.

No that's fine, but you can't compare the two that much. It's like comparing a JCB to an automated potato pealer. Just two very different units.

 

The Zed is indeed a bitch to work on and will go wrong if not maintained properly. That said, the car was and still is a very competant car.

Yes tend to agree,hard to do but not impossible,the learning curve with the Evo and likes are near max now,taken long time and mega money to get there,Macs in a way is an unknown quantity in the UK,Europe even,learning curve a lot more steep,but sure given time and setups should be there or there abouts.Would be interesting.

Wait a min I had a G reg GT4 60'000Miles on the clock and 3 turbos later in 75'000miles in the bin it went Three Celicas all pant's oh I tell a lie one GTR Auto was very good (the pop up lights one).

 

Anywho the 300zx I have now is fine I like it, love the look's (missus don't) Never lets me down and it has been abused by the last owner (she is in good hands now).

 

So to say the 300ZX is crap on this forum is....odd, you must be 14 and think that your Dad's 1.8 mondeo is the mutts nuts.

Best way to look at it.. put a Z(maybe with a BIT of bodykit on it) in a carpark next to an evo or scooby. WHich car would you rather get in/gets the most looks... Z wins 9/10! IMO Obv :rofl:

problem with the RUIE was the pigmy bus was driven by a dwarf so it was a bottleneck situation, was much better when RUIE 2 came out and the driver was a sprite
