I managed to remove one side, obviously the one which has been already changed on my car ....

I don't manage to remove the other one, completely stuck.

I put a 17mm wrench on the other side on the "width accross flats" rod end but it starts to splip and to crush it !!

If I continue, my rod end will smash.

I put a ton of WD40, I torched it, it doesn't come loose.

Any help ?

I had the same problem.

Had two chaps using long bars and it didnt move a smidge :smash:

Ended up having to replace the stuck arm joint with a new one...

Although... the hicas eliminator was being fitted so i didn't need the rack anymore or the stuck arm.

Not alot of help if youre intending to keep the rack though..sorry

The problem is I don't manage to remove the arm joint I want to replace !

How did you finally remove yours ??

And as I torched it, now the ball joint is no more tight with the socket, huge play !

I'm obliged to replace it. I want to keep HICAS.

I think I'll try to grind a bit the rod end to be able to put a larger 17mm spanner...

I'm not confident.

remove the alluminium stroke stopper on the far end of the HICAS power cylinder that you were able to remove , so you can get more grip on the rod within the power cylinder and keep it from rotating (on the other side.)

usually that does the trick.

What I did !

I even filed more the rod end to get more grip. I crushed it.

Hopefully, I finally got it !

You know what ?

The previous f*cking owner punched the rod end on the ball joint socket I didn't manage to remove. Unbelievable ! That's even not necessary.

I was obliged to file these marks in the small space available.

Boths arms are now replaced and I performed a new alignment of the hicas (3mm stroke on each side).
