Hey guys,

My MIB claim is slowly but surely going through after some pikey wrote my parked Zed off in the early hours in December

After sending them the engineers report to clarify the damage, I have been given the all clear to get rid of the beast.

I was wondering how much I could expect to get for the car as it is.

Its a metallic grey K plate jap n/a with heavy o/s/f damage.

I dont want to break as its been on the driveway for 3 months now and I just need to clear space.

I valued it at £3000 pre smack, and all interior, most of the body and engine is mint, and engine is running.

It had only just been MOT'd and sailed through.

I will put some piccies on but if anyone can give me advice on how much to ask for, that would be cool

Someone else could prob break it and make a few quid?

Andy Z is reasonably near you (Thetford) - he'd know better than most. I'd ask him. I think he's a listed trader.

If it's got nice extras (wheels, exhaust etc) they're good sellers.

well its got 17" split rims(3) ones got a tiny scratch if you know what i mean :D , targa roof etc etc,

Don't know what Funky Si has decided to do but he needs an engine. Don't know if he wants to get another one off of someone, but if he can hear it going and compression test, etc maybe he'll be interested?

Alloys will only add to the value if the insurance company has included them when calculating your premium.

You could always buy back the salvage and break it yourself - although you would have to subscribe to sell any parts on here.

Best see what you get offered before making any decisions mate.

Good luck

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hi mate, give us an idea of what you want for it, I might take it off your hands as theres a few bits I need and break the rest. How easy is it going to be to move the car?

Im a bit undecided about value, just email me with an offer or just come and look at it.

Transporting the vehicle prob wont be the easiest exercise undertaken, prob a recovery vehicle

good point about the wheels C.D but thats getting into 'breaking' territory, and I really cant be ar$ed with all that, just want to sell it as it is

There's people (me included) who'd come round to where the car is with their standard wheels, give you several hundred quid and swop them for your wheels. No grief, no dirty hands - just money - got to be worth a thought.
