im currently in the middle of doing one and all the advice i can give is save up and get it done properly LOL

joking aside you have to spend bloody hours to get it right.so far ive spent 5 hours on mine and i have only got 2 bits to a mirror finish. but the plenum was in a bit of a state to begin with.

about 14-18 hours work if done by a proffesional pollisher with proper equipment ,doing it yourself well you wont get that good a job compared to a pollishers one

im using a alloy wheel polishing kit (buffing wheels and soap ect)

flap wheels ,scotchbrite pads, and all grades of wet and dry

lots and lots and lots of patience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pollishing wheel and various mops and soap,,be honest with you bud you really are better getting it done off the car and by a proffesional

oh you will save yourself the hag and just give it to someone who knows what hes doing, but if you want it pollished all over and yes down in every little crevice to a mirror finish then thats the only way its going to happen,,,no offence hell raiser

I did my water pipes , used a DA sander using 180grit paper to remove the casting finish then sanded again using finer and finer grades of sanding disk , finishing off with 500 grit disks then attacked them with a polishing kit from Frost Automotive ,once sanded it only took about 20 minutes to polish up I also would like to get a plenum and give it a go :hyper:
