Fikin first time i have taken car out in the dark, pissing down and going straight on at a round about and a motor pulls out in front of me,lock up and miss by mm. She shouts at me "your indicators are on", got out and fick me they are. God know how the previous owner managed it. The lens is the old orange and clear type. I had my side lights on which in turn illuminated the larger orange part of the lens and then when i indicate the side light part flashes with an orange bulb. So god know if it`s a mod gone wrong or it use to have clears at the front, the front end is all original so i can`t see a accident replacement mistake. Surely they put it all back in the wrong place after a lamp change?

Right now i have problems! Took the front SL/indicator units out to see what was going on. Like said the indicator/amber section was acting as a side light and the clear front section as the indicator with an orange lamp. I am waiting on clears so i thought when i get them i will swap the wires round, put a clear lamp in the front and an amber light in the side. Until then i thought i would just remove the side light so not to illuminate the amber section (you still with me,lol.),but on removal it opened the indicator circuit to cause the old fast flashing fault. So i thought to myself that i would just remove the lamp holders and connect them through. I think this was a mistake as i have now lost all my sidelights front and rear and on main beam it is stuck on full beam and will not dip. Starting to think by connecting through it has damaged the relay. Anybody have any second thoughts on what could have happened?

I don't quite follow what you said but nissan have unusual wiring in that they put the switch on the otherside of the circuit to what you would expect. Might be talking out of my derriere though.

I am a dick. If i told you what i do for a living you`d laugh. Lamps work on resistance and i just blatantly shorted it out.Head light Fuses are OK although i have lost all my lights apart from full beam which now comes on with main beam and will not dip. Expect i have done fuses and relays elsewere. That will teach me!
