I fitted a Blitz SUS induction filter yesterday to my UK TT... Started up and ticked over fine, reved up no problem, but didn't drive it :)

Got in it today to go to the South Central meet in Salisbury :hyper:

Started fine.. first set of lights it cuts out, no tick over, carried on.. every time I stop it cuts out.. Got on the motorway, and it felt like the car was being held back when I let my foot off the gas, just not running right, so I brought it back home (missed the meet  )

Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong? Are there other adjustments that have to be made for it to run correctly. I thought these induction filters were a simple bolt on and go

Any help appreciated.

check it's seated properly, check that it's getting a good air supply (i.e. the splashgaurd's not blocking it). Make sure the AFM plug's on properly. Have you reset the ECU??

When you have reset the ECU, the car will idle a bit high and not run perfectly until the ECU has adjusted for the altered characteristics.

Didn't want to bother you mate, with your neck all out of shape :wack:

All sorted now, and learnt something new :D

Hope you're feeling better buddy.

Cheers mate, feeling better but its gonna take a week or two I guess. Still spinning if I do anything strenuous, although managed to please the lady earlier :x: :hyper: . I'm off to see a neurologist to make sure my brain isn't going to implode during the week. Should just be confirmation of what the doctor already said (touch wood and all). Dave
