OK I will be working on the car Friday and Saturday to resolve the safety boost limit prob I have.

From the diagnostic I done a while back I found the following:

- Pass o2 sensor knackered

- Engine temp sensor

- Harness and Connector

OK first job is to replace this o2 sensor. I have the thing ready and will probably take me but an hour to do the job as everything is stripped inside the engine bay in the area as I ripped the thread.

In previous threads it came apparent that the harness and connector and eng temp sensor probs were supposedly resolved by cleaning the connections on these. I havent done a diagnostic since, but I am still unsure if this has made any difference

My question now is: Once I replace the o2 sensor, should I get back above safety boost? And if it does not how can I fix the other 2 probs??

Sorry for such a noob question,

Dave G

Bad O2 sensor won't put you in safety boost.

Didnt think it would but was being a bit hopeful. An ideas on how to sort the other 2 probs then?

TIA,

Thanks Lymon. I have ordered a new sensor and connector from Andy at Supercar Parts (thanks for the help and good price again m8).

Cant wait now. I will just do a wee diagnostic again once done to make sure its working right.

PS, what difference would the harness and connector make?

Cool, the annoying thing is I have known for about a month now it needs these things and totally forgot about buying any of it. And the weekend I decide to do the work I order the part at Thursday night!! :wack:

Should have planned it a bit more.
