Has anyone on here ever done it? I did see a thread where someone was half way through it, but can't find it.

Just wondering if anyone's done it successfully at all or not. I'll not be refurbing them. But would like to strip and rebuild them.

Do they require gaskets or sealing upon rebuild?

Any info would be a help.

Thanks

ive got veilside 3 piece split rims and was no gasket just 40 bolts.make sure you torque them up the same then some silcone sealer around the join when done.

don't know much about this, only that its not recommended. Lots of wheel refurbing places wont touch split rims for this reason.

From what I understand is that most places won't do them because it takes so much time. Takes about an hour to strip a rim and then a few hours to rebuild.

Been speaking to a few people over on detailingworld.com and you just need to take your time.
