Hi guys / girls......

firstly what a day yesterday, well pleased with the turnout, had a good day - many thanks to you all, can't wait for the next one..

now down to my question....

On the way home last night my indiglo dials decided to get a mind of their owm ,they started to change colour and brightness all by themselves ( they are the pukka 180mph dials from the club )....

The little control switch things has no effect on the problem, even when I unplug the switch the dials still misbehave, i suspect the invertor is knackered......

does anyone have a spare invertor anywhere, or know where I can get one to power the dials ??

thanks very much

Andy........

yes, but i'm not powering the invertors from the dash, they are powered from the ashtray light supply ( so I can dim the L/H and R/H pods but still keep the dials bright )........

I would have thought the cheap 160mph on ebay could be an option , buy a set and just use the inverter, if mine goes t1ts up this is what i,ll do. :D :D

good thinking there......

thats what i'll do, do you think it would work ok, are the indiglo the same as the electro-luminescent ?

thanks

Andy...

do your dials change colour, or just a dimmer? and how many connections does your invertor have?

Hello Andy,

Is it one of my sets?

Vijay

hello mate, yes they are, but I bought them from another member - Dave.. - a couple of months ago, they were unused.

They aren't changing colour they are just going through the dim to bright cycle constantly even when the switch is unplugged ??

how many connections ?

what colour does the invertor give you ?

if its blue then i'd be interested, doesn't matter how many connections cause I could always splice into them to give me more ?

cheers

Andy

hi mate,

how much do you want for the invertor ?

I can hear my invertor working, it makes high pitched sounds as it cycles through the dimming cycle, so I would say the invertor is knackered because it won't let me change anything and it still cycles through when the dimmer switch is unplugged....

let me know how much mate.

cheers

Hi Vijay

Want to get some dials and seen loads on flea bay, are they compatable with UK cars?

Do i also need a device to chang the clocks to work at 160MPH??/

Thanks Vijay

Hello bud,

I've no idea about the ones from Ebay so couldn't tell you about fitting.

From posts I've seen, you need to change a resistor to callibrate to 160mph.

Vijay

Any idea where is goes?

E-bay ones are very cheap but RPM and MPH are wrong way round don't think that matters though....
