Im having trouble starting my Z. I originally thought it was a hot starting problem, but sometimes it happens when its cold. It turns for about 6 seconds then finally catches.

On a hot start , when it does catch it idles at 2400, then drops slowly to 1000 or so.

Any ideas??

sounds like a problem with the main temp. sensor or the connector

I just did the heater matrix, could this be related...?? Where is the sensor, and how do i check that its working?

front of the engine on top of the alloy cooling pipe, yellow connector

 

carefully unplug the connector and make sure both sensor and connector are clean (no green stuff) or wiggle the connector/wire to see if it makes the engine run different.
