Oil pressure?

Hi looking at a 300 zx turbo soon and don't really know a hell of a lot about them (apart from the one I have been in went like :x: ).

The current owner has said that the oil pressure gauge wanders quite a bit on start up and occasionaly whilst running. Now on any car I have thought about buying before if this was the case I would run a mile but he claims this to be a guage fault and quite common on 300zx's?

Is this the case? If so what would be the best way to check myself?

Any other pointers for zx purchasing would be appreciated as well.

Tia people.

P.S the owner said it belonged to a forum member named Tizer before him. I see there is a Tizer on here but he appears to have a blue one. Any thoughts?

Excellent thankyou ;-)

Thanks Legrath. I am a Zummerzet boy as well so if I get it look out for me out on the roads and at meets.

Should be going up tomorrow, it is a hell of a long way though!

Just realised your bridgwater.., me too! ..well, Puriton. We also have members closeby in Burnham, Weston & Glastonbury

Great. Atm I am BMing it and have been now for the last 5 cars. I have been offered a good deal on my BM with this Z.

I am a member on http://www.e36coupe.com and have been for a couple of years but even though they are a massive community (8000 ish iirc) there are virtually no members near us? Looking forward to local meets.

My friend had a tt auto for ages (black standard one in town?) which was an amazing car. Had lots of auto box issues though, spent £1500 ish out at Gear Change!!

Don't suppose yourself or any other local owners/knowledgable people want a trip out tomorrow to have a look with me?

I was going to take my turbo guru but he is busy working for real customers who pay actual money!!!!
