As title - anyone tried them yet.

They are not for my ZX, but my daily driver as I don't like the tyres on there at the moment. These new Toyos are virtually the same tread pattern as Dunlop SP9000 sport (which I'm very pleased with on my ZX) yet I can get a set of 4 for the Merc fully fitted by e-tyres for under £350 - around £30 less than the Dunlops.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Gonna be my next choice when mine ware out later this year... I used to run T1-S's which we're ace, gripped like buggery!!! The T1-R's are supposed to be even grippier but the ware rate is higher due to being a slightly softer compound..

I stuck a set of Fedral Tyres on my z. I normally go for very expensive ones but as my camber is currently causing serious inside wear on my tyres i went for the cheapest i could find untill i sorted it out. thing is they have they best grip ive ever had, i was shocked.

I have afull set sitting in me kitchen just ready to go on my new wheels................as soon as i get the fookin replacement wheels caus fedex seems to think they can use my parcels for footballs !!!!! (dent on one rim)

I've run on Proxies. Not bad at all. Pretty decent level of grip, but they wear out at quite an alarming rate.

I was distinctly unimppressed with new T1-S's after Bridgstone S-02's and S-03's but I guess I got used to them after a while. The T1-S's are a harder compound and definitely last longer though. Anybody know what the wear ratings for T1-R's are ?

I have found a tyre that realy suits me and my right foot.

Avon ZZ3s they are quiet, grippy in the wet as well as the dry, and last for ever.

The best about them is they are rather cheap, so when my zed needs some I will put those on.

if anyone wants to go toyo's then dont go falken 451's same tread pattern and a better compound, all the skylines have them over the toyos and there cheaper :)

just fitted Toyo's T1 r's all round and havent scrubbed them in yet , but when i do i wil let you know , expensive yes ! but in this world you get what you pay for ...and as my youngest son is with me most of the time in the zed , his safety can have no cost put on it ....

I changed the front tyres on my 1.8 focus to T1-Rs before christmas, I can now take corners faster in the wet than I could in the dry. Absolutely incredible

Expensive???

They are a lot cheaper than what I would normally pay for other branded tyres (Goodyear GSD3, Dunlop SP sport 9000, Michelin Pilot Sport, Bridgestone etc etc).

I agree with you on the safety thing though - hence I've always bought premium brands with proven reputations.

I asked the question as I thought the Toyos were cheap....
