Hello chaps

 

Ive been working on my N/A Zed the last month or so and im finding out things i didnt realise .. firstly i when it broke down and Mark (topless) fixed it :bow: :bow: he said i have a 96 CAS unit, Injectors and other various bits.. ive checked the seatbelts which say 93 .. but everything else is pointing to 96.. incl the loom .. is there any tell tale signs that i could look for to see what year my car is, as its driving me nuts when i have to order bits

INCL wiring loom .. even in the doors? possible but a bit drastic for an N/A.. but who knows

If you have the chassis number I can look into it.

cheers bud but according to the numbers on my chassis plate that makes mine an 89.. now i am confused lol

It does bud .. but finding out i had 96 spec stuff on a 93 car got me wondering

If it's 1996 it should have non-heated mirrors, no titanium key, and steel brake calipers (I think!)

:dance: :dance: looks like ive got a Series III.. poss Series IV looking at the specs

NA's got the electronics upgraded (ECU, engine sensors + connectors, new type injectors, etc) a little earlier at around late '93.

The TT's had to wait until early '95

I've a series 4 NA. Remove the drivers side sill protection strip - 4 or 5 screws I think and lift the carpet at the base of the drivers seat - there should be a manufactured date in there.
