OK I am a very picky guy when it comes to my cars. I always want everything to be spot on.

The targa seals were leaking a tiny spot of water now and again on the passengers side. I then replaced the seals up and around the targa seals with new ones from Andy Z from SuperCar Parts. Noticed that when I went to the car wash etc there was a lot more water coming through than before, but I just assumed that it was my fitting of the seals. After looking at the seals it is my fault I think and need some sort of glue come sealant stuff to help stick down the trim to the body as it is slighty raised in parts which caused the leakage.

Now I will have to spend all day tomorrow fixing the seals then getting the hairdryer into it as the drivers seat is soaking along with both foot wells :( .

I always look forward to getting home to see the car and all I have had this year is slight niggly problems which irritate me as I like eveything perfect!!! :smash:

Anyway, can anyone suggest the sealant stuff I am talking about???

TIA,

Dave G

seriously tho ive got a similar problem on my drivers side. i removed the targa, poured some water from a milk bottle into the 'gutter' around the surround and watched where it went. the 'plug hole' works fine but if theres a lot of water then it gets past that, then under the rubber seal, down the corner, underneath my A-pillar and pisses out from under my top A-pillar gauge   still havent got round to sorting it out. tried some vaseline as a temporary solution but when i put the targa back in, the vaseline was just pressed aside and the problem returned.

I am experiencing the same sort of thing, I replaced all my targa seals and still there is water dripping from the top of my A pillar where the targa meets it. But I noticed a small rip in the targa seal and have replaced it, but I will test it by pouring water on it first.

Just bought some black silicone stuff. I will see how I get on tomorrow, I can see the plug hole, but how can I clean it out cos no doubt it will be like a homeless mans mouth.

Dont think me puring water would work, probably soak the recently dried out interior again  . But seriously though I will do that sometime tomorrow as I will be fitting the leather and A-pillar pod and all guages on the next weekend I am home, so dont want to f**k all of that up and have to get new ones  .

Keep me updated on how you guys get on.

Thanks,
