also nothing to do with the clutch its when you lift off the throttle

I also wouldnt be taking it to 5k if its not running properly

adjust it! It should dump when you lift foot of accelerator at boost pressure above 0...more audable above 2-3 psi

Just remove them! Return your car to standard and get it running 100% before you do anything else. :)

From what I've read it wasn't running all that well originally.

definatly not...springs to weak..it cant hold the boost pressure. There is usully an adjuster which tensions the spring.

no, im thinking of buying a datascan

Erh? What's that got to do with the price of fish? I said it's better to return the car to standard and then get it running correctly before you start adding things to it. It wasn't running well to begin with was it.

Datscan won't fix it. It'll just show you what's not quite working. If you return it to standard, then it'll be easier to see what's running right and what's not. You start adding other bits to the equation and it'll just take more time.

It's not going to tell you what's faulty with anything you've added to the car though.

yes, and it is a worthwhile purchase. However just like conzult, it is not the answer to everything.

  • Author
it is not the answer to everything.

thats ok, but everyone is saying i need to get it on a consult but when i see the price difference i could buy a datascan for the price nissan would want just to look :headvswal

Thats why i mentioned that.

Anyway, as for the BOV's, seems like i need to turn the spring then so it holds the boost, is that right :wack:

Lee,

Turn the nut on the top of the bov till it is 2-3mm past the thread, any more than that and you will get stalling and dumping problems (ohh weeer) if you need any help give us a bell :)

That doesn't adjust the pitch, that's done by the red circle on the side, smallest hole loudest, biggest quieter.

The bolt you need to adjust adjusts when the bov will dump.
