Turbo times, boost controlers.....why such a messy look?

Ok, have seen some nicely installed ones, but generally, there is no really 'nice' place for these.

Since most decent high powered Turbo charged vehicles are Japanese...and most of these come with double DIN appertures, why aren't there any turbo timer/boost controlers designed in a nice single DIN sized unit.

Would make perfect sence to me to have a nice one which did everything that sat flush in a recess that was already there. There's plenty of room in a DIN sized case behind to have quite a nice box of tricks there. A nice multifunction/display boost controller with a turbo timer facility the size of a Head unit would surely sell.

What??? :p

I've got a tiny apexi one to fit. About the size of a lighter. Good idea as the Dins are already taken up with the radio and AFC. Dave

I agree, a proper full Din sized unit Boost controller & Turbo timer in one...perhaps with other sensor display like the Blitz sbic would be perfect.

..Until then a greddy profec B Spec II, greddy turbo timer ro blitz Fatt turbo timer are ones that neatly fits in the car, as they replace the Standard clock

My turbo timer is installed neatly, but my boost controller is just chucked on the dash, dont want to put it in the DIN place as its also my boost guage.

Your gonna hate my interior then Si!

But do i care!!..........No LMAO!! :p

Have something custom made for your sun visor like mine, keeps them out of sight for a cleaner look and so the thieving scum cant see when parked up.

I Like that. Very nicely done. Is that the standard sunvisor they are built into ?

Does look nice. Like that.

Just wondering why companies haven't thought to use a DIN sized one.

Could be a niche in the market ready for someone to snap up.

Well, I've ****ing given it all away now! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! LOL

I think it is a niche. It's something I would buy. Would certainly be very neat and could be a complete turbo management centre.

No I had new sunvisors made and covered in black alcantara for me by a local company. They will make them up for tv screens boost controllers anything you want.

It is an NA and hopefully in 2 months I will be able to show some figures, still getting it all setup but being let down by suppliers to finish the job off properly.

I am getting a Greddy Profec II B next week and i dont know where to put it as i have a Sony radio\cassette and Sony CD units in the centre console. The Sony CD has a big graphical equaliser that i love (sad aint i). I was thinking of having the boost controller box velcro'd to the right side of the centre console. I dont think it would hinder my left leg that much.. hmm

as per my post on other page ;) it fits in the standard clock position, if you dont mind losing clock (most headunits show time these days anyway)

Thats prior to you touch screen job.

The reason I'm now thinking of putting my profec E1 in the sun visor (cheers SUFFOLKZX) is because I have a boost gauge etc and am going touch screan and laptop with radio enable and the whole bag of mashings. I want it to look smooth and modern not cluttered and caotic.

The clockpos. is the ultimate place to put some nice gadget...

Here is my HKS EVC V...
