Right, now I'm taking the engine out soon due to having bore problems. Engine is low mileage and has 2 very good turbos....but don't want to put them back in with original seals as even though they are very good, knowing my luck, they'll go as soon as the new engine goes in.

Now, when the engine comes out to be replaced, I am going to get new seal kits for the tubs. Anyone done this before?

Sorry to hear about your car mate, how much is that setting you back?

why not just get yours recon?

im sure they need balancing once they have been stripped so it finding someone to that and cost so for peace of mind surely a set of oem recon tubs would be safer

no need to balance tubs after stripping them, just make sure you mark the locking nut, compressor wheel and the shaft so that they line up again when you re-assemble
