anyone knows the settings for this Boost Controller? I bought another 300 and is got this fittit but is not working properly cos the standard boost gauge is moves just over 0 so i'm wondering if this is working or is just the settings

settings should be limiter 1.10 kg/cm gain 6 ratio 0 = 7psi 35=9psi 47=12psi 58=15psi there is full info for setting somewhere on forum cant remember where i found it tho HTH.

as Lymon says if your standard boost gauge doesnt go past zero youve got a problem somewhere.

does the boost gauge go back to the left when not under boost?

is the controller plumbed in properly (make sure there are no loose hoses under the bonnet where the unit is T'd in with the stock hoses)

does the DSBC-S show current boost level as being over 0 or does that stay at 0 as well?

the standard gauge go past zero but just a bit and when is not under boost it go back to the left.to be honest i dont know how to read this thing ,on my other 300 i've got the blitz id 3 wich is much easier the read cos is got psi as well, but i'll have to put it in this one and see how it is. i'll go outside know and have a look at it again

i still got this problem guys...Hexaking came to my place today and we had a look,we checked all the wiring and is seems to be ok ,the reading i get from the standard gauge and the after market one in 0 i mean it goes up to 0 psi and goes back to the left when is not under boost any ideeas what can be wrong ?

just get the car back to the stock configuration (connect all hoses back to where they belong and reconnect the stock wastegate actuator solenoids), also do a boostleak test

Then see if the boost is back to normal....if it isn't you have a problem with a turbo or there's something wrong with the exhaust/cats (blocked in some way)

Right peeps, this is a very strange one, i spent 4 hrs yesterday with dani (cbr) putting wis car back to standard. The car is not producing 1LB of boost pressure what so ever, we have 2 guages checking boost and it runs just like a NA ? ( i had to keep looking to see if it had tubs ?? its that bad?).

I have checked the whole car over and cant see a thing wrong with it, i have wired in the knock sensor resistor trick to eliminate that, i have checked the voltage to the wastegate solonid valves and all is fine, i have checked the wastegates are free and not stuck in the open position, the ECU is all clear and no faults, we have reset the ECU twice, and its still clear.

When i dove the car i didnt even hear the tubs spinning up, i think the next step is to remove the exhaust down pipe from the back of the tubs and see if their is a compressor whell there?

Anyone got any bright ideas b4 we go that far (will be doing a pressure test possibly tonight). The car ticks over good and the engine is as smooth as a sewing machine, and its spotless under the bonnet so the previous owner looked after it well? the car has a straight through exhaust system ?..

HELP

Back of the Aftermerket boost guage was the last one if i remember correct as the hose goes near the peddles and then back into engine bay, i much have caught it with my foot one time, pulling out the hose and then no turbo, took me bloody ages to work out what I had done.

Well, after another 2 hrs tonight we still cant find the problem ? we have done a boostleak test tonight and its perfect not one little hisssss anywere and it holds the pressure?

What i was wondering is, could it be the wastegates stuck open and not letting the turbines spin up ?

Is there a diagram that shows you which way around the two pipes go onto the wastegate solonoid valve ? or even better a diagram that shows all the vacum pipe positions?

What would happen if we bypassed the wastegate solonoid valve and just put the vacum pipe with no "T" straight on to the wastegate actuator, would it hold it open or shut ????

HELP

>> What i was wondering is, could it be the wastegates stuck open and not letting the turbines spin up ?

in theory, yes

although I have never seen a wastegate flapper stuk open...let alone the wastegates from both turbos.

i have seen severly cracked turbine housing and shattered or stuck turbine wheels causing low or no boost.

in that case you wouldn't be able to boost over 7 psi. (safetyboost).

You can try blowing compressed air into the hoses running to the actuators and see if the actuator rods move (sometimes you can also hear the flapper closing/opening)

one other thing you can try is to remove the lower intercooler hoses (the ones connecting to the turbo elbow pipes) start the engine (it will run very rough), rev it a little and feel if there is any air coming out of either turbo elbow pipe.

...or, (but this involves more work) measure the boost coming from each turbo, by connecting a seperate boostgauge to each elbow pipe.

Right..i removed both lower intercooler hoses (the ones connecting to the turbo elbow pipes) and the engine didn't start ,them i've put one back and start the engine, it did run but rouht... anyway i've checked each turbo separately and there was no air coming from the passanger side one.Now i've got to find out why is that turbo no producing any boost. Any ideas will be very helpful. thanks

Heeeelp!!!! i've put my boost controller on the car so i've canceled the boost solenoids but is still not running good ,only one turbo working.Do i realy have to take the engine off so i can have a look at the turbo or i can drop the engine some how?

you can remove the exhaust downpipe

but having a look probably won't change much..the turbo is most likely seized and it needs to be replaced.

Best is to change both turbos at the same time...they are usually like headlight bulbs: one fails and the other one fails shortly after you replaced the first one

Hi Danny, I think its best to remove the exhaust down pipe before you pull the engine out, then you can see if its a seized shaft or a broken turbine ?. It might even be the wastegate flap stuck open letting all the exhaust gas'es go straight out to the exhaust?

Let me know if you are gonna do it the weekend m8, i will come and help,as i would like to see myself whats happend ?
