I have done most of the East Coast and now want to venture across the other side of the country. Been wanting to do a bit of touring like I did last time. Considering doing some lake hopping as there is some stunning scenery around the many lakes in the Southern part of California.

 

So, just wondering if any forum members have been to the area, chiefly around San Diego. Would quite like to explore San Diego. Might go camping/hostelling or may even rent a small motor home for the week.

 

Quite interested in Lake Elsinore and some of the San Diego lakes...anyone been?

 

Looking ay going in late April or early May.

Hmmmmm, don't really want to head North.....least not this trip anyway. Want the heat of the south you see. Plus I'd like to go and visit the Joshua Tree National Park. :)

No, not interested in LA to be honest. Just want to fly there as it's cheapest. Will head to San Diego first before venturing inland to get into 'real' America.

Good on you Si, that'll be awesome. I think we're heading over there sometime towards the end of this year for my missus to complete her horse study stuff. I want to check out the waves, see if I can find a spot thats not crowded out. I might go down into Baja. Dave

I really like the East Coast. Currently, my most favourite of places is Savannah in Georgia. Not sure what it is about the place, but it's so tranquil. Such a lovely laid back lifestyle.

 

Also like the area around Lake Murray in South Carolina...and the lake itself. Really nice.
