This isn't to throw scorn on anyone in this situation. But as I'm getting older (I know this is obvious, but just an observation) the amount of single mothers out there is unbelievable.

Got a few girls interested in me at the moment and they both have kids and any I do try to get to know also have kids.

I don't have kids myself and never will. Just find it really wierd.

LOL!!

sounds like your in a catch 22 situation mate.

either you get a woman whos got a kid now, or you get a woman with no kids thats gonna want a kid later!! :wack:

my g/f has a daughter, better for me that way. when i split with my mrs a year ago the worst thing i could thing of was to be in a relationship with someone that wanted kids!! my daughters 16 now & i really dont want anymore!

has worked out well for me TBH.

....So????????

Si, being a Dad is my greatest single achievment. Im divorced now, but still a Dad

Just try it mate. Step dads have just as important role to play.

Modern Britain has all sorts of diverse families now. Nowt wrong wi that.

All of course IMHO

got the perfect answer mate, get a nce attractive single mum (sexy that puts out) then when you get to know her and been dating her for a while, advise that its better for kids to go to boarding school, better education for the kid. pmsl then you have her all to your self.

As already said - there's nowt wrong with Kids - I'm married - but no kids - and not likely to have any either - but we have friends with kids - we're Godparents to some - so we still get all the fun - kiddy days out and stuff - swimming - cinema etc - and we get to hand them back at the end of it !

They don't fit very well in the back of a 2+2 though !

That's just it though I think Pete, I don't want that role. Each of us wants different things in life and for me to become a father figure is not one of them.

I'd want a relationship with the girl, not her kids.

:)

At least you have physical proof of their willingness to partake in the carnal pleasures!

Ideal. Eastern block girls I find are generally stunning. Not just that, there are lots of single ones.

My mother's side of the family is Hungarian, so I've been out there to see my family a number of times. The women in Budapest are something else.! :D

for me personally, not disrespect to any1 that has done this but...

i would never take on sum1 else child as my own

having said that i dont have kids, neither does my girlfriend

fair play to people who have done this but i wouldnt

:)

as for women, Chinese women are awesome, the missus is chinese, her old man owns a takeaway, FREE FOOD!!!! :)

I agree. I am also divirced, my son is 7 now and I get him every 2nd weekend. Having a son is the best toy a man can have...nothing else even comes close when my son gives me a hug...I'm a big softy

I have a step daughter just turned 6. I've known her since she was born (long story) and she's a really lovely kid. Been with her Mum now for almost 4 years (married last year) and wouldn't have it any other way. She still sees her birth Dad every couple of weeks, but I'm the one bringing her up and have the biggest input into her development.

Like all things in life it's not always plain sailing, but you have to take the rough with the smooth...

I find it really rewarding and love her loads :D

Where where where????!!! LOL

Thats a very good point! You're not exactly old Si. Just be sociable and mix in lots of different circles. If that fails get on some dodgy websites and become the third person in some couples debauched fantasy!

That's just it though I think Pete, I don't want that role. Each of us wants different things in life and for me to become a father figure is not one of them.

Fair point Si. And not one I would argue with.

2nd time round familys and relationships can be quite involved and tricky.I know that from experience.

Looking on this thread tho Si you can see that there are quite a few of us "big softie Dads" around.LOL

We just like to look like hard macho guys when we are in our cars!!

Whatever you do in life, just listen to your heart.

And look in the sky for omens. They are there, its sometimes just hard to see them.

As well as what?

Well, as a father of two (who are now grown-up) and step-father to 2 more (twins aged 13), all I can say is that it's a great experience. My 2 are out in the real world now and doing well, and I have a great relationship with the step-kids who are also doing well and I'm sure will continue to do so.

The advantage with step-kids is that they go to their dad's every other weekend leaving me and the missus with time for ourselves - something a "normal" married couple don't often get.

Children, as well as being a pain in the ar5e, are also the most rewarding of experiences.

Si, you got some very wierd logic ruling your life buddy. Fair play as it takes all kinds. But as said by Pete about being a father. Its the best thing life could have brought. My son was born in 1986 when I was 28 yrs old. OK in many ways a bit late but it works well. He has become my very best friend in life and thats a wonderful extra to have with your offspring. He keeps me on my toes with up-to-date things that are going on and has made my life 100% better since he was born. Dont let yourself down fella. As for single parents. thats the fault of modern society.
