Zed failed to start this morning but was OK last night. It has been playing up recently and was Green Flagged home through lack of fuel a couple of weeks ago. I purchased a new fuel pump relay and thought that was it. It has started and been OK excepting for a hessitation at about 3500rpm when pulling hard. Is it fuel starvation ?. When you switch on, should you be able to hear the fuel pump humming continually. This morning I listened for it purposely and there was a renowned silence. Does the pump need replacing. : :headvswal

Here is the solution. Replace the fuel pump just in case that is the problem. Or if you don't want to do this get a new fuel pump ECU. I had exactly the same problem. I changed my pump but it still didn't work. I got a new ECU from Ryan for £50, plugged it in and it is now better than ever. You could just try the ECU but I think its worth doing both to be on the safe side.

if you want to elimate the fuel pump connect 2 wires from the battery and run them to the fuel pump if it runs and then you start the car,if it starts its your fuel pump control unit which is behind the near side rear passenger seat,i know this because thats what i did,and if you need a fuel pump i got a spare one for sale
