what do you think of these guys legrath sent these to me i might need sum new tubs when i get back, and if i did get these what would be the best way to set these up and how could i get the best out of them. 555, what else.

I would not touch these with a barge pole you WILL NOT get 550bhp as they claim out of a T25 which has been overly borred out to accept bigger wheels, if your looking along these lines look at the JWT sport 500's

thx

I believe they are based on T28's, not T25 and offer more power than the JWT 500's.

I know there is the whole U.S Bullshit opinion...but of the Dyno sheets I've seen, they show 425-475 rwhp(500hp+ fly) figures with these tubs and supporting mods on regular fuel.

u all no more than me guys i just want about 400-450 at the flywheel, what have i got to do to do this and how much is it gunna cost me. i dont want loads of lag, so big tubs arent they way forward i have heard.

dunno what the zx stock turbo's are like, but my old skyline went from a max of about 320 atf to a proven 405 atf by having the stock turbo reworked with all stell, 360 bearings etc.. a friend of mine had 450 @ 1.3bar (with supporting mods), mine was at 1 bar...

doesnt reworking the zx turbos give increased power potential?? at about 500 per turbo this could well be an option if it does..

I would have thought buddy that a chip, boost controller, intercooler (which you have done havent you ??) de-cat lightened flywheel and pulleys and perhaps a bit of help from Ryan would get ya 400@fly and maybe your tubs tweaked a bit by someone like Turbo Technics, i wait to be confirmed or shot down in flames ??

Don't see why not - my last dyno gave me 375 at the fly on similar mods (less the IC). AFAIK that's getting close to the max from stock turbos/injectors tho :(

i should really get mine dyno tested but yes i have all that what you have said mt boost is 12psi but for sum reason my boost controller carnt take it up anymore, i have had john dixon and mickeyb look at it. my tubs do smoke so the seals are on there way out coz i changed all pcv valves ages ago, i want 555, tubs that spool up quicker, abit of noz to take away lag and be able to use it every day so all the stuff needs to be solid.

Check out the spec on my Zed Karl, you'll see not a massive amount to achieve what your looking for and my tubs kick at just barely over 2000 revs, so pretty much lag free :hyper:

Rolling road graph is also there. Torque is way more important than BHP mate, imo of course ;)

wrong matey :D

they have used an ar/48 turbine housing which is effectively the stock T25 you can see they have been massively bored out to accept the larger turbine wheel if these were based on a T28 they would have started with a ar/60 turbine housing.

Due to the facr they are trying to force more air round a tighter space therefore getting hotter these would not be a good buy IMHO

Mine is dyno'd 340bhp at the rear wheels so about 400 at the fly. Standard tubs reworked with 360degree thrust bearings, standard intercoolers, standard injectors, apexi boost controller 13.8psi, uprated internals/knife edge crank (nice safety zone knowing it can take higher boost) . It has never run even remotely hot, including on the track. It doesn't run lean either, if anything its running slightly rich. Lag is almost unnoticable.

Its worth dyno-ing your car before modding so you can see the difference after.
