If he is not sure if he can afford fuel for 4 miles a day he cant afford a zed. end of :headvswal

4 miles a day is bugger all. Pretty pointless buying a zed just to do that.

If he buys a zed, he's clearly gonna drive it a lot. The petrol for an NA isnt much cheaper than for a TT.

4 Miles!?!?? and he drives a car! in London...and he is considering driving a zed four miles every day in London. One of the worst things for an engine is short commuting drives everyday, he wont even bother warming it up because it will take longer than the drive and he'll get lazy !

Tell him how much it costs you, and add a couple of miles per gallon. Then tell him also its £500 every 6 mths to a year for tyres, etc etc etc.

Don't mean to sound slating but it really shouldn't be a worry whether he can afford the petrol for 4 miles a day. What happens when things go wrong or the car needs maintainence? it'll end up in the drive getting rusty.

totally agree

If he is only doing 4 miles a day, he could get a fookin nice skate board which would be a lot quicker in London traffic. IMO

Pmsl, thats a good idea! I'd get one of those secter 9 long boards! I used to be sponsored by a local shop for skating got in RAD magazine! but kept braking boards so saw some sense and started surfing instead.

Im trying to get it round my brain that he will be using a sports car for 4 miles a day????

But on a serious note, 4 miles a day x 365 = 1460miles, so im guessing at about 6 tankfuls of fuel which should see about 243.3 miles each, which if he drives correctly a full tank of fuel should last approximately 60 days.

So, to somerise........

4 miles should cost approx.........£1.05

Do i win a prize! :D

still cheaper than a bus then

I have this impending feeling of doom with the purchase of my TT.

I just know im gonna spend a fortune on optimax in the first few weeks with excuses like " oh were out of milk I will just pop out and get some" half an hour later and a pint of milk and 20 quid of petrol.

BUT, you don't have to pay for insurance, tyres, spare parts and labour costs if you travel by bus.

IndianZX you should tell your mate to get one of these...

"We gotta full tank of gas, half a pack of smokes, its dark & we're wearin shades..." :hyper:
