i'm looking for either:

a wiring diagram for the audio wiring for a car fitted with the bose speaker/amp units in the doors (the diag i have is for single rear amp no door amps)

someone who has replaced their origonal head unit but kept the bose speaker/amp units in the doors and got it working

someone (or a site) who knows about how the amp/speaker units were designed/ built

i have spent hours searching but can't find what i need

I have replaced the head unit and now get no sound from the speakers, i have connected the power feed to the amps to the switched 12v out of the head unit. my understanding is that this powers a relay which sends power to the amps and that the amps recieve power , ground, and 2 speaker wires. What i'm wanting to check is whether the amps are balanced or whether one side is grounded, if one side is grounded then i need to get the speaker wires the right way round.

or for that matter if my head unit uses bridged output modules and the nissan amp is grounded on one side then i would be shorting out my head unit and it might be in protect.

errr help :)

ok

does or did yours have both cd and tape player.. ie single din units.. but 2?

if so remove the cd unit below... and dont bother with it.

then the tape unit... usually the one on the top will have its plugs etc... and it houses the speaker wires... i got a adapter kit.. think it was from halfords (sorry for swearing there) lol.

all working fine.. if you get stuck give us a shout
