People, after having a bit of a break in owing Z32's looking to retrun to the fold. However, bit out of touch with the market prices - so need a bit of guidance.

There's a trader local to me who's got a '93 (L-Plate) 300zx Twin Turbo Manual (Jap Import, 90,000 kms, cloth interior, standard spec except for turbo timer/wheels), up for grabs and is asking £6495 (strikes me as being a bit OTT), but in reality is this a fair price, taking the wee or what?

Any guidance/advice appreciated.

PS.. Anyone (or know of anyone) interested in part-ex'ing/swapping against a non-turbo Supra? Needs to be a manual TT tho'

Sounds tooooooo much mate. There are good ones for sale on here and if you subscribe you will get expert help also...

Also, the ones on here will be looked after...

Good luck dude..

Take a look at the cars for sale threads Ken. Thats pretty OTT I reckon. There are many very good cars struggling to get 4-5k at the moment. Dave

For a clean stock example on a 93 plate I would say anything around £4.5k as a private sale in good condition.

Thing is, that is the price these cars should be going for.

Only Fleabay, plus there are soooo many rough examples out there and dodgy importers are buying any old rubbish from the Land of the Rising Sun, means that prices are rock bottom at the mo.

Look in cars for sale - MartinFA has a superb SWB for sale at less than £6k

Good hunting mate,

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

...of interest, when Nissan stopped importing tht zTT into the UK in I think '94, the asking price was about £34ish K. I imagine the 93 car was a similar price too.

You also need to bear in mind that in 89 Nissan sold over 50k of the Z32 world wide and in 98 sold less than 800 - and by the time they stopped making them they were down to double numbers - so the older the car the rarer it is. There has to be a limit to what will be imported into the UK as car lovers in Japan will undoubtedly be holding onto them... as part of the Z heritage.

Good luck

Jack

...correction - the newer the car, the rarer it is...

I paid £5800 for a TT SWB jap import and its mint. Zedworld said the prior owner had fitted around £3000 of new parts to it.

As i am paying £5000 a year to run the fecker getting a mint one made good sense.

...97 manual NA - £6k - 2nd owner after importation. Midnight Purple - lovely colour.

cheerz
