howdy people,

i need to change the front pads and need a bit of feedback on the type and compound which is best for standed rotors,allso are the pistons push back or twist back a daft question to some but after doing the wifes front brakes on her rover 400 only after stripping the thread on a g-clamp did i suss they where screw back pistons :(

As for compounds, im not sure, i can give you ADL part number for the pads if thats any good to you.

i have EBC Red Stuff on the front ceramic pads they feel fine on mine if you need them the part no is :-DP31200C some people dont like them but hey each to their own :rolleyes:

Go for project u street pad £70 from apex performance.Or porterfeild.

Znut, as a tip, before pushing the pistons back clamp the brake hose to the caliper and open the bleed nipple and put a bleed tube on it.

 

This prevents the fluid been forced back into the master cylinder which can potentially cause problems by reversing worn seals etc.

i tried green stuff pads and thought they where crap, went back to oem and think they are much better, not tried much else though so all in my limited experience! and i also have G force grooved disks which helps :D
