I have been thinking about something totally hypothetical but maybe interesting?

 

If there was no such car as the 300ZX what car do you think you would own?

 

Obviously it would have to have the same kind of value. Would you have a sooper soopra? would you have a skyline? etc etc.

 

I would have a skyline.

go back to what i had before the 300.....a Skyline.

Had to be the 300 everytime though. Insurance was pretty crazy for the 944.

 

I'd have an RX7 though :bow:

Those were the others on my shortlist. As an overall package, the Zed just came out on top.

hmm nasty question... i only really went for the Z for the bang for the buck as i could only just stretch my budget to that (little did i know that would only be the start of my worries :rolleyes: )

 

i think all i could have afforded would be an older model Subaru, S13 or Skyline GTST. thank God for the Z :bow:

I'd probably have to say an R33 Skyline GTR, an RX7, or a Mk1 Astra GTE V6 RWD project :D

Supra no doubt about it, failing that an RX7.

Probably A Supra :( or 3000GTO but at the time of looking for a Z also took a shine to the Celica GT4 New Shape with the quad lights unit everyone warned of how sluggish they are and I wouldn't be happy with it!!! That goes for the GTO to!!! :D

The Mk4 Supra TT or Porsche 928GT were on my list when shopping for the 300zx. I'd ruled out the 3000gt after driving one ;)

 

As fantastic a car as the Skyline GTR is, it's saloon-car ugly and does not have a luxury GT car feel like the Soop, Porsche or 300zx.

 

Now I'd look at the Maseratti 3200gt, Porsche 928gts, Merc 500SL (previous shape - say a w reg) or Jag XKR.
