This is my car, it a UK model from 1993 and is a series 2

 

the 2 lights where you would normally see the fog lights do nothing at all, what are these lights supposed to do on a uk spec car?

 

also the lights on the outside of these are always on like side lights, however these are also the indicators.

ypurs has got jap lights fitted where your foglights are on a uk spec is usually sidelight/indicator unit and blanking panels on the corners my guess is the fog lights are there but not wired up

I think that you have "US spec" lights at the front. Similar to the Jap spec, but the fogs do not have "side lights" and you have the amber part in the "corner unit".

well basically the corner lights are always on whenever there is normal lights on.

also they are the indicators.

side-lights - On with first notch on light switch and when dipped and Main beam on.

i suppose ill need to get the indication orange lense and just rewire it correctly?

Normal UK (with a 99 spec bumper) looks like my sig below. The inners are side lights/indicators and the outers are blanks. I've just fitted Jspec fogs here so these are now spare if you want 'em.

 

If you want to use your existing fogs, it's not huge job. Halfords sell a fog light switch and wiring kit with relay...

you need to remove the fog lights and fit uk spec side/indicator units and blank panels on corners i think i have all the units i took off mine here let me know if u want them

the fog lights should have a side light/indicator unit in there as uk has not got fogs the corners are clear perspex with black back on uk also look on steves sig pic

Looks like you have front fog lights Bud.The switch is on the r/hand pod.If they dont come on take them out to see if there wired up,easy job.

On UK Z's the switch on the pod is for rear fog light.

so Nissan only has to make 1 bumper to cover all markets and regs. Looks like yours has been modified sometime in its life.

Maybe, there's no crash damage or anything though so they may have taken a kit off and just stuck on whatever they could find lol :tongue:
