Yeah it is, although I didn't join the forces till I was late 23 so I've been a civvy before. It's still quite odd though, I don't think it'll really sink in until I'm in the new job and settled in a new house in Kent. Everything is great so far though, I'm enjoying it. Dave

Best of luck to you both in your new jobs, sure everything will turn out ok. I started a new job last Oct and by the look of thing will be looking for a new one anytime now

Heh Royal, your a lucky lucky man, i haven't got the balls to leave the army yet i wouldn't know what to do with my self..

Good luck Angus & Dave.... I still really really need a zedworthy job, is your old one still available Angus ;) ?

Good luck to you both :)

Don't worry about being nervous the first day - it's perfectly normal.

I started a new job in July 2004 for a company I already knew. I worked in an accountancy practice and my new employer was my biggest client for the previous 7 years. I must have been going there every 3 months for 5-6 years but when the MD asked gave me the job as finance director I was still nervous on my first day, despite knowing everyone. I even took my assistant with me - she was leaving my old place anyway so she started at the new place 2 months before me. Still didn't make it any easier though.

Don't worry - it will all be fine.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
