I'm missing on number 6 (i think, left side back)

Injector/coilpack/PTU is all i can think. not checked yet. Any tips or anything else it could be?

try unplugging the grey connectors, and cleaning them mate, been doing this with mine today.

cleaned the metal contacts, and used WD40 too, and it's got me back 2 of the cylinders that had dropped.

doesnt cost anything, so worth a try

also did the smaller injector ones too

99.9% ptu on its way out happened to me few days ago similar problem, however you might as well clean all connections while your at it.

Probably dirty connection somewhere, clean them all up, and if it doesnt work, then do it again, and again if needs be :p That happened to me, it took us a week of faffing to work out it was a dirty injector connection causing it, we were almost convinced it was a dead injector but decided to give it one last try with the contact cleaner and it worked :)

As it happens, the fuel line directly above it had been leaking, which probably caused it, check for this too.

if its the one under the balance bar it might even be a plug, co's some lazy barsteward could'nt be botherd to change it, so check all ya plugs m8....

Yeah I was thinking that. Found 4 plugs in the boot. So the two under the bar I bet have not been done. Fooks sake.

If that's the case then what about the rest of the car, hopefully no trouble after that's sorted.

I know all the problems with it. Needs bits doing but not too fussed, im used to that from the last zed, (the one in your aviator by the way ;) )

Fixed it! :hyper: :hyper: Was the damn injector connection!

good advice huh ;)

Those grey plugs can be very brittle and break quite easily when removed can't they?? otherewise I will do it, but dont really want to buy new connectors.

Some more info needed dude. Does it fire up at all? Does it fire up but missing a cylinder? At least you know it isn't spark related - thats a start. That leaves most likely suspects as coilpack connector/wiring to it, plug, ptu.

If it doesn't fire up then first thing to check is your PTU. If it does and is down a cylinder then check what I listed. Find out what cylinder it is first by unplugging coiplack connectors until one doesn't make any difference to running of engine. Disconnect battery while doing this and charge it.

in your case its not ptu, first thing you should is clean or replace ecu temp senser harness disconnect battery for couple hours so ecu can clear all codes try starting car, it will idle at 1200 revs but after 10/15 mins will return to normal, if that doesnt solve problem move on to other bits.

james did you get yours sorted out??

Yes thanks bud. Charged my battery (although that can't have anything to do with it) and double checked my wiring to new coilpack connector. It was more than likely that.
