Is there a knack to removing the pointers from the fuel, temp, tacho and speedo gauges???

Or is it a case of gentle persuasion????

Cheers

Don't think they should be removed unless 100% necessary bud! Heard of too many owners having to buy new clocks after doing this :(

What's the reason for removal?

Be VERY careful. I had to get new clocks and I was being really careful. Don’t know if there is a knack to it or not. But I won’t be doing it again!

Very Long Nose Pliers To Hold The Stem In Place Whilst You Pull The Needle Off.

remove stopper and carfully turn the needle 360 degrees counterclockwise.

then keep turning it counterclockwise and slowly pull off the needle.

phil if you have those indiglo dials u dont need to remove the needles, trust me

If you do need to remove them (last resort only!) take off the little stopper and find the rest position of the needle first. The rest position isnt nessesarly on the zero.

no, just literally slide the needle into the hole as far as it will go then the back of the needle just about fits through

Have already done the fuel and temp gauges. But not much time this weekend and next week to finish off :(
