Anyone know much about the Nisstek ECU chips on e-bay at the moment? There's some very interesting dyno comparisons between them and the JWT chip (which I'm about to fit). Some parts of the dyno graphs show 40bhp improvement over the JWT!.

I'm now not sure whether one of these chips may be a better long term prospect.

Cheers

Gareth

i have a jwt chip +boost jets at 16psi with induction kit, catback exhaust ud pulley, hks iridium plugs, stock turbos etc and car hesitates at high rpm is this the same as det, also im considering trying another chip im after more power/response at low rpm and mid range, which chip do you recommend, wots your opinion on chips which john dixon supply's thanx

lets see the maps then. Datascan can download them without a problem. There are far too many chips floating around with jap fuel/US fuel etc on them. And a JWT map is bar far the worst I have seen. Nothing changed but the timing.

how and where can i get mine scaned? i have a blitz ecu... running 15psi, de-cat, blitz intake etc..... would like to know what shes doing! if i get her rolling roaded will that be able to tell me if its running sweet?

What fuel are you using...with a JWT and that boost level it should be Optimax(or tesco 99ron) only.

Have a search on forum for reccomendations of John Dixon's chips....

I have a lot of tuned files for the Z..that includes JWT, ASH spec, and a lot of JDM tunes....if you have something you can trade (Z32 only), hit me up on PM.

anyway i think you're very wrong with the JWT statement above.

stuipid question here... ive got a jwt chip (in from when i got the car..) how do i know what map is on it? im getting my boost controller fitted soon so hopefully it wont over fuel as much but fuel right for higher boost.... where do i start with this? rolling road? or some clever local zed guy?

Take the lid off the ecu and look at the label, there are so many dodgy chips going around it is very easy to buy a copy these days people claim the chip they selling or sold are the real JWT,SE or what ever and half of the time they are not.

I have mines Z32 and Z-Control ones too. I mostly have RB tunes.

The JWT tune I saw was not the best, the fuel map had not been changed at all.

Just saying what I had seen.

I had an SE chip, its seemed fine.

I tried a JD special which gave a ton more torque low-mid range. Blew the SE one away totally.

I'm sure Ryan knows what he's talking about, having tried and driven so many, he's best placed to comment :)

Yes, but how many shit copies of SE chips are kicking around. I thought I had an SE chip earlier in the year and the car was detting it's knackers off at Thor's dyno (JAE).

I now have a genuine SE chip from Andy P and TBH, I do think you'd be pushed to out perform it. Recent RR day, she achieved 330RWHP. Can't see you getting a lot better than that with stock engine and tubs. Must be close on 400bhp at the flywheel.

Very true Steve.

Mr Shrimp ask BeeGee Vinz about comparing the JD with the SE I think you will be shocked TBH.

when i brought my zed its listed as having a jwt chip, no idea really about the mapping of it? likely BHP gains? its clearly chipped as my car over fuels at idle... guessing i cant really fix that... just interested whats going on in my ecu..

ps sorry for the hijack...

I have a JWT chip in mine. Could that be what's causing the lumpy Idle?

Unlikley, JWT are pretty good usually. You probably need to look for another cause for that problem.

I don't belive there are that many SE copies around, bound to be some though. However, you may have had one that was the wrong spec for your car - there are quite a few to choose from.
