*hears the forum groan*

yes i'm new as you may have noticed, now i'm gonna be looking at getting a 300zx possibly late spring time next year and have been browsing these forum for a few weeks now picking up various things

got a couple of questions though if you could take time to answer for me please  :D

model i'm looking at will be the manual twin tub, what's the differences in UK and JDM spec?

what sort of problems can occur and what sort of maintenance costs do they incurr?

i realise they are a big car but what do they handle like? and what sort of improvements can be made?

finally...

what sort of power increases can i get for my money?

thanks for your time and hope i join you in zed ownership in the near future :D

Hi Ian

Take a look at http://www.300zx.org.uk/mod_comp_0.htm for model differences..

Steve :)

thanks for that cybernet

they handle *fairly* well for a big car - lots of room for improvement depending on budget. uprated springs & shocks, poly bushes, adjustable suspension arms with bearings/rose joints etc

power increase - again depends on £££. but an induction, zorst, boost increase & chip will put a big smile on your face for not too much ;)

as far as mods go for bhp.. as above really... turbo cars generally easier to get more power per £ investd than NA anyways IMHO... car handles pretty well as standard, good fun for a largeish car...

had mine a few months big thumbs up... just check it out carefully and use the buying guide on here before you hand the cash over!!!

cheers for the info guys!

i'm going to be setting myself a budget of between 3 and 5k for a manul TT, would this be about accurate or would i need more?

Car won't be used too often as i have another car to go work in etc

cheers for the info guys!
