OK so we mostly all love our 300ZX. I was thinking that if you had to redesign an updated model for the British market what parts from other cars would you use to make the car a whole lot better.

Now I dont want any argueing as this is a "TOTALLY YOUR OPINION" thread.

I would re-design the front end and head lights.

 

Maybe use the front end from a RX8 or even a DB9.

Rear end would deffo be 350Z.

I'd make sure the replacement 300ZX had nothing to do with the design of the 350Z. 'Z'orry, but compared to the 300, the 350Z is a bit ungainly.

 

I think all I'd do is change the design of the rear bumper. Like the whole design really. Would change a lot of the switch gear to make it up-to-date. Other than that, I'd change almost nothing.

I would change the interior...I don't like the interior on the zed much, actually prefer the Supra or RX7 interior.

would make the rear more rx-7 ish - love the lights

 

front would have bigger air dams, similar to the greddy/ww/scarab bumpers

 

better headlights ;)

 

deeper boot, with a parcel shelf as opposed to a rollerblind

 

make everything easier to fix!

 

as long as it didnt affect the structural integrity (which it probably would!) have the targa as one piece similar to the mr2

 

have 'luxury' and 'raw' variants, where you can choose to have things like traction control, aircon, hicas, leather or bucket seats, etc, and build on having either a big bahnstormer, or a track style coupe.

In all seriousness, more up to date cockpit, better trimmed seats & more usefull console/armresty bit. Some trick, factory retracting 3 point harness's & Head Up Display for the instruments.

it would have a cup holder, the zed has the most useless centre console ive ever seen :p

 

oh and chunk, that looks great, I can understand swapping out the antera's for those :D

But you would definitely need a re-paint mate, you car has more shades than a the existing grey colour scheme :p :)

The only things i would like extra in a ZX are 4 wheel drive and a huge LED light array on the back. This LED array could imatate ZX lights and have various animations displayed like a stock market ticker board. Such as 'YES! - I DO ACTUALLY OWN THE ROAD', 'CURL UP AND DIE CHAV CORSA OWNER', 'HI SEXY' :p

I would change the steering. This is the only car I have owned which makes a 3 point turn an all day event. Something more like Mercedes or BMW steering would be better.
