got the shock of my life today,a product that does what it says on the box  its allways been a pain washing my black zed but now its a blast, this bit of kit leaves no drying spots at all and leaves your car as iff its been waxed. £20 licks from halfords and makes owning a black car a pleasure again ;)

I agree with znut - I've said since their launch that the Flash car wash thingys are awesome - does exactly what it says on the tin. I used it twice a week on my black Z and, like you said, it always looked polished. Imangine how good the new green Z looks ;).

Well done Flash :D - highly recommended.

 smithy can you get a group buy on this one geezer lol

Im with neil. My wife got me one when they hit the shops. Great idea. and it works well too.

basically i "think" this is a mini version of what i use/make to clean windows (gone are the days of a ladder and bucket). it uses whats called a mixed bed resin. it removes the parts from water that basically leaves the spots when it dries. if you were to take a million "parts" of water, roughly 200-300 of those parts wouldnt be water, they would be made up of chlorine, lime, etc. so this resin removes those parts leaving behind "de-ionised" water or totally pure water (are you bored yet......how sad am i :o ???).

for a long term cheaper method the best thing to do is buy a bag of "mixed bed resin" from ebay for about £80 plus a "10inch resin cartridge" for about a tenner, so total price of about a £100. i know this sounds dear but this would easily outlast 5 of your flash spray guns thus working out cheaper! :D plus you could split/share a bag of it between however many people you wanted.

it would take about ten minutes to set this up. simply fill the cartridge with the resin and then connect it with 2 hoselocks to your tap and hose....job done!

i use this for cleaning my zed (which gets sold tommorrow  ) and it dries without a single mark or spot. simply clean and then rinse with the pure water and then leave to dry on its own, so you save all that time of having to leather your car off to dry.

sounds a bit complicated and possibly hard to do but it isnt really and is deffo worth it!

A discussion on these a while back and some magazine had the very thing all made up .....it was in Banzai cant remember how much. I always thought the flash thing cartridge didnt last very long only bout 3 washes ???

I can get about 6-7 washes out of 1 cartridge, about 11 washes from one bottle of the shampoo.

Do any other shampoos work as well? have got decent supply of filters.

the problem is most clog the gun up so just use the gun to "dry rinse":)

using the correct shampoo (no longer available) & the filter supplied gives a 'spot-free' finish- no need to use a blade or chamois to dry off! Am trying to find a shampoo with similar properties as 'Flash' no longer make the kits or refills. It was abrilliant product so don't no why it was ditched- perhaps not profitable enough.

Apparently outsold the Ipod in the States so mystery why stopped!

Noticed a lot of owners on high priced caravan & motorhome sites are using 'Fenwicks' shampoo (dont know this one) and some used Turtlewax apparently with success.
