just fitted my de-cats today (Thanks scottywil for the help on finding them!) but it didn't come with any gaskets, i used the old ones to mate it to my old cat back system as they where in very good nick, but where it bolts onto the down pipes its blowing as its just a flush surface.

So whats the best stuff to use to cure this?

Hi Mate,

It's not just a flush surface, there are 2 squash rings on them, which when there old and knackered can look like part of the pipe, the end of the cat pipe has a raised section at the end for it to sit around.. Don't know if it is present on decats.

Hope that makes sense

Get some gaskets made up, you can buy the stuff from Halfrauds, comes in sheets! :) Then use some sealant around the join......thats how mines done, doesnt blow at all... ;)

cheers sb007, just been out and removed the bits you are on about, if i fit them and get some stuff from halfords like you say mark then i should be sorted!

Cheers guys

If anyone needs a set of cats mine are in good condition, you would have to collect them but i wouldn't take any money for them..
