ok just a couple of questions i have been speaking to timmy turbo on msn and have been asked to get clarification on why he was banned the duration of the ban and why he has received no notification of said things

 

in asking theses questions i take no side with any party i am just the messenger

Should have been 'gagged'....well, that's what happens on other forums I use.

We always use the same terminology, eg banned, the period will vary. Details and reasons for banning etc are in the Acceptable Use Policy.

He got a bit abusive iirc, signed up with a new user name and started leaving abuse for some of the traders and some on the main forum....

the responses maybe but my origional question was perfectly suitable for general as i feel that any new members reading it will realise we dont tolerate abbusive members as i said in question by asking this i take no sides in the dispute just get answers for people

I am the mod that banned Timmy, initially for one day due to the extremely offensive posts he placed on a trader forum, this was extended to seven days when it was identified that timmy was posting while banned and extended to a permanent ban when it was further identified that Timmy had posted an extremely abusive post aimed at the committee of this forum/ club. All of the above were identified by other members of the mods/ committee and myself and the decision was taken in line with the AUP.

I liked Timmy and always enjoyed the banter he created on occasion. But IMO it seems he got what he deserved. I mean I can argue as you know but never to the extent that I think I would get banned. There is a difference between being objective and abusive. I draw the line so if I can anyone can.

All members are aware of the AUP, and everybody should read it and understand it, if a member decides that he is going to act outside of the rules, then they must expect what they get.

 

The Mods and the Committee all do thier jobs on a volantary basis, with no thanks what so ever.

 

It does seem lately that alot of individuals want to push and push as far as they can, the rules are in place because it is a public forum, and the club, committee, and its members are not willing to let this forum degrade into some kind of youth club, we are all big boys, and girls, with our toys, but some things are just unacceptable.

 

If anyone wishes to question me, the committee, or any of the moderators about any decissions that have been made or feel that any of the clubs policies are unfair, feel free to pm, or email me, and I will put it forward to the committee at our meetings.

It seems lately that members seem to think that the Mods and Committee are looking for reasons to ban people, which is not the case. In the past, alot of threads were closed/locked because of the content, hence why fight club was originally set up. But alot of members have complained to the committee that the forum has degenerated, and the type of threads being posted were, to be frank, childish and very stupid. These types of threads will no longer be tolerated, we all enjoy a laugh and a joke, but when the joke goes too far, then it will be modded.

 

No-one's membership will be in jeapordy, because of an opinion, providing it is not racist, defamatory, or any form of harrasment.

To be honest Vinny, if your banned for breaking AUP, you will not be refunded, that is in AUP
