Less reliable than a TVR!

Your having a laugh ain't you .. Mates 4ltr things dash falls to bits and the radio ends on the passengers lap everytime you boot it.. Dash is held together by velcro :)

ok after carefully reading all the posts on here I recon all the affore mentioned faults are why we love the cars so much if you want somthing thats as easy to maintain as a fiesta buy a .... wait for it FIESTA !! just as long as you remember it's just like driving a ... FIESTA :) TVR's are held together with Velcro .. Noble's are fast kit cars with no heater.. Ferriai's are Lancia's with bigger engines.. Supra's are just about as good but don't look as kewl and cost twice as much "To get one that goes as well anyway" :) ..... Rant Over !!

Squeaky wipers.

Crap lights.

That fookin hardboard panel Jigsaw beneath the boot carpet. why couldn't they just have made a lift up trapdoor thingy? :mac1: And the road noise that comes from the boot itself.

Fuse location (drivers footwell)

Heater Matrix location

Turbo locations

Neseccery overengineered bits on the car

Stock lights

Series 1 heather controls & cabin vents

HICAS

General weight of the car

Think that'll do for now :)

yep im with u on that one chriss nightmare to work around the engine :headvswal

oh oh oh its the squeek at the front ...upper link arms!!

now if only i had the dimensions of the parts for the bearing modifcation i could make my own lol!!

Squeaky wipers .. Replace the blades

Crap lights .... Don't drive like a nutter in the dark "no one can see you anyway" :)

Boot Panels ..... bin em and make a board up

Road noise .... It's a bloody sports car !!!!!!!

NEXT !!!!!

No Slagging you chewie just recon 300ZX is the best handling two wheel drive car for the money EVER !!! Don't Slag It Drive It .... I'm sure Jay will agree

My fookin expensive silicone wipers are now squeaking again.

Parts are so fookin expensive and hard to get hold of.

Re sale value on them is shocking.

People get a bit green eyed and see them as a nice keying target or vandalism.

The heater has a mind of its own and you cannot control it.

The OEM lights are 5hit.

People look at them thinking you have loads of money and bill you for work done on them accordingly.

The stupid hardboard section boot floor.

Tweed seats make you sweat like fook in the summer.

The rear flicks out when you do'nt want it to.

You cannot adjust the camber without a new suspension set up.

They sell on Ebay for pennies.

And you always seem to get an annoying vibration or rattle from somewhere when your driving them.

But apart from the above I love my Z.

i hate not being able to get it up a set of ramps as i dont have a trolley jack i can't change the bloody oil myself!!!

Should have gone with his story !

Less reliable than a TVR!

Oh come on!! It is *not* less reliable than a TVR. Until I ran over a lump of concrete in the middle of a dual carriageway last week (that shouldn't have been there) I had no real problems with mine at all. However, there are a few things that get right on my pecs:

(i) Cheapy indicator stalk (I've mentioned this multiple times before I think -- what the heck were they thinking?!? "Oh OK, yeah we'd better put something crap in here.")

(ii) Non-adjustable steering. TBH this isn't a huge problem as the drivers seat is plenty adjustable enough to compensate, at least for me.

(iii) The stock spoiler on the Series I and II. Which genius decided that making it out of foam was a good idea? Retards.

(iv) The position of the turbos. This is a more theoretical gripe, in that I've no plans to upgrade them. However... it does annoy the hell out of me that getting a Supra to 500 bhp is no hassle by comparison. Also, from a slightly more realistic point of view, if anything goes wrong with one of them we're talking ££££s to fix it because of the labour charges. Grr.

(v) The headlights. I didn't think they were too bad at first, but I've since come to realise that they really are quite terrible (done a lot more night driving recently by necessity).

(vi) The fact there are so many autos (sorry, I know a lot of you would disagree, but for a variety of control-freaky reasons I *really* despise automatic gearboxes in general, not just in the zed - it's just a matter of taste though). Makes it really hard to find a decent manual example. I can't believe it took me 6 months (6 months!!) to find a car I actually wanted to buy.

Think that about covers it.

Cheers,

Bart

The everdecreasing price tag.....................

Tweed seats. The worry of it breaking. The cost of repair if it does. The shape of the head lights.

Thats about it so far.

Headlamps - had to buy a daily driver while zed is off road (1993 1.1 fiesta) the lights where at least 4 times better

Passenger seat always slides right back after lifting up - not nice for the little lad who sits behind

Outside edge trims - why does the paint come off

erm....?

can't be anything else can there?

People who own them and make me jealous! On the upside it does give me something to aspire towards in the (hopefull not so distant) future!

Fuse location (drivers footwell) One in the front and one in the back on the MR-2...both covers just pull off...well that's what God himself intended but Satan designed yours didn't he? LOL

Heater Matrix location Yep mine packed up on me when I was visiting my Nan on her death bed, Z's have perfect timing!

Turbo locations Sh1te...documented as being the worst location for a turbo charged engine EVER!

Neseccery overengineered bits on the car Your spelling was so bad mate couldn't quite understand WTF you were on about

Stock lights Joke

Series 1 heather controls & cabin ventsDon't get a series 1!

HICAS Cack...end of!

General weight of the car Lard @rse!!!

Think that'll do for now :)

LMFAO :D

Well while people are complaining about their problems i thought i'd join in with my list so here it goes

if its dark and espencially if its raining the front headlights aren't good at all.

My autobox is dead and need to convert to a manual but need to find all the bits first,

The expense because at the moment its using all the petrol without giving me any performance.

The det sensor is broke and seems to be an expensive job to fix

It needs a rear shock absorber.

The smell of petrol at the moment

I do wish it had some electic windows :mac1:

Not much room in the back - well it doesn't bother me cos i ride in the front

The performance is terrible (but that is because the autobox is dead) :headvswal

as for the steering colum not moving it seems in an ok spot for me personally

and as for the seats well mine is a uk tt with all leather and electriics :D

But with all of this being wrong i have to say i do still love the car :D

and i probably always will, just wish i had one that i didn't have to fix so quickly :headvswal
