Yesterday I went out in my red 90 TT (not the grey one I got last week), after 45 minutes, with temp needle just below 1/2 way, the car was still blowing cold air on us, even though i set the temp ar 40 degrees. Any idea why this is?

I went home and then went out in the grey 91 tt and it was warm after 10 mins.

Any ideas?? Thanks.

No leaks on the floor?

Could it be thermostat.

you could try to do the air con diagnostic/set up....IIRC its a bit of a mare...but search around on here for the how to guide

other causes include...air locks, thermostat stuck, crushed cooling pipes restricting the flow to the matrix, leaky rad cap, lack of coolant check the level etc....if the matrix was fooked i would have thought water would have poured in to the passenger footwell...so maybe not all is lost
