Just installed my HID xenon kit for the dipped beam, they are a lovely blueish white colour but when i switch between dipped and high beam OMG its like being at a disco :hyper: !!

High beam is a dull yellow halogen and it cant be very good for the HID's to keep switching on and off all the time?

Does anyone know any way of modding the Lighting system so Dipped Beam always stays on ? even when you flash your high's ??

there is write up about this somewhere i've seen it yesterday, it is basically if you add an earth lead to the head lapm base (you can iether solder it of put a small screw and nut) this will allow the dipped to stay on along with the high

if you earth the headlight direct it stays on but flashes dip and main together i did the conversion dave mentioned and it works fine

ok thanks for the help , I have read the document on how to make the dipped stay on , only problem with this is , when the dipped beam is off and u flash your headlights, the low beam will fire up briefly, ie NOT good for the HID kit also, is there a workaround for this or is it asking too much ? :)

Surely you could do it by wiring a relay into it?
