ok peeps, we all know that with all the sheds hanging about on ebay and autotrader at the moment not only are our cars been devalued but newer members are becoming disallusioned by the reliability and quality of the 300ZX.

 

I have a plan. We need two things

 

1. A member who owns land or a desent sized lock up.

 

2 An appointed member that can be trusted.

 

Here is the plan -If five hundred members were to invest a £100 each to a special fund, approx. thirty to fifty used and abused zeds could be snapped up and stored. These in turn could be swopped around a bit to make better cars and sold on to enthusiasts, the money put back into the kitty. The remainder of them broken up and parts available to the investing members.This could be an ongoing thing. Appointed member would have to be paid for their time of course. ;)

 

This would solve three problems...................

 

1 Remove the bad apples

 

2 Values may start to rise or at least stabilize.

 

3 I know there is a no. three I just can't think of it.

 

I haven't been drinking......... a lot......... ;)

Me too, I know it's a crazy idea but if you think about it it's quite possible. Don't think the traders would be impressed though :D . Although it would be in everyones interest. my 100 quid is on the table .C,mon guys roll up!

Mate I thought about it for all of 2 secs, yeah you have an idea and to be fair it was a goodun, over the years I have been a land owner and trust me it's more trouble than it's worth.

 

You need serious storage to do what you want to do. ;)

My £100 is on the table too. Brilliant idea. OK its got some points that need thinking about but in theory spot on. The land would need a good long strong contract and would also need to be kept under close supervision.

 

My only concern is: how long will it be before someone pulls the carpet from under our feet. We cant even have a sensible conversation without someone wanting a fight.

my £100 is there and im willing to labour as well but we neeed hell of a storage..! unless we start on smaller scale.

Good Idea..could start small. for £100 I am doffo in & will put in £100 for Chunk so he is now in as well...

gimme a couple of years and i will be in on this for sure (im a mechanic but not zed specialist) so would be prepared to work on the project aswell

PJ has land for about 20zeds!! currently filled up with Fiestas, Corsas and Vectras!

 

I've got space for about 2 or 3 cars.

good idea would cut out a lot of the crap zeds i would be in. theres a lot of land by me but im out in the sticks and quite far away from alot of members, and i might even be able to get my hands on a scrap yard for cheap rent

i think this is a great idea, needs a little tidying around the edges (eg. who decides which cars to buy, who decides whether a car is workable or a breadker, etc.) and deffo starting on a smaller scale :) keep thinking buddy and it might become reality!
