The Mrs loves it but it bothers me:

 

From cold i get a hell of a vibration between 40-60mph. Ok prop shaft bearings i though. However the vibration stops after a few miles!!?

 

Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't grease get thinner with heat. If the bearing was buggered wouldn't it get worse rather than better after a few miles??

I should mention that the vibrations are coming through the seat not the stering wheel

still sounds like prop to me.....other favs IIRC are flat spots on tyres...brakes sticking or warped

Prop, vibration goes away when the car is upto temp ;)

so is it the bearing between the prop and diff? Is it repairable/repackable? if not how much should i remortgage my house for?

Allow £300 for the complete job with one of the garages on here :)

Quite a big job with the exhaust coming off then the prop and Nissan charge £150+ for the bearing itself :headvswal
