I’m after some help and advice, I’d like to buy a 300zx, not even sure if a Manual or auto is required – does anyone have any info on the differences between (apart from the obvious)- I currently have a 1995 N/A Supra and am looking for a bit more welly (used to have a 3000GTO twin turbo but the insurance was a bit of a farce). I’ve always like the look of them and my mind is made up (gotta rid myself of the Supra first if anyone wants it).

 

So basically I’m after as much info about the cars as possible, i.e. known problems etc.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, yes i'd be interested in the swap, I valued the Supra at about 10k, (open for debate of course) if you want can e-mail the advert I was going to post in Autotrader, whats the spec of your Z?

Welcome to the site. As a new member to the site and only a recent owner of a 300zx I have found the site invaluable. Personaly gone for a manual 90 import, got to say it was everything I wanted and a lot more. The general consensus is that there isn't a lot in it when it comes to autos and manuals and it comes down to preferance. There is a buyers guide that somebody directed me to that I found invaluable. Depending on your location there is normaly somebody that can help. Have you checked the sales and wanted there are normally a couple of cars in there.

Your old pics are of quite a monster, I'm not too worried about the ICE situation as i'm sure your aware its always something you change when you get the car (although yours looks like it will deafen most people) let me know and if you want I can send you pictures of the Supra
