I so much love the round lights with a skin at the rear but can't help thinking it's being dishonest, some people might assume you're trying to make it look like a ferrari. royals car and a lot of others look superb so please no-one take offence, i'v just been looking at zcentre bodykits..

I know a lot of owners don't like the stock rear, but I love both styles. Think it's worth a poll.

some people like to modify a car. I think you can go over the top and i really like the original z lights, where as Andy does not. People buy cars for different reasons. People buy Zs because they have the performance are cheap and there are enough parts available to style it.

Its knowing the happy medium between making it look pleasing to the eye and going far ott, some mods go with others and some don't.

True. People have many different tastes.

Partly why I bought a Z was because of the way it looks. That's why i prefer the stock lights (yes, i do like the amber indicators). The only replacement for me would be another set of stocks, or the 99 spec. The only issue with moving to the 99 spec rears is that i would feel i then had to change the indicators, lights, bumper, rear spoiler etc. to update the rest of the car. IMHO, the zed doesn't need updating.

Totally. They are the only real replacement if you want to keep the car's look. Never ever liked the replacement. Makes the Z not look like a Z. Round rear lights couldn't suit a car any less IMHO. :)

Why would you want to modify it to that degree anyway? The Z as it stands and as it was designed was near-perfect. It's the reason why Porsche guys don't fit different rear lights to their 911s or even 944s.

Each to their own, but there's very little visually you can do to the car to make it look better than it is as originally designed. The back end, especially is one of the key design features.

You talk shit though :D Round lights rule, end of, now STFU :D ;)

i think we all have to agree to disagree before the verbal abuse and bun throwing starts after all if you like your zed modified or unmodified thats all that matters

I'm proud my car is almost 15 years old.......... wouldn't try to hide that fact with a private plate or try to make it look more modern by changing the rear lights.... standard is best.....IMO( :mac1: apart from my exhaust........ and alloys  )

IIRC they're just vinyl transfers that go over the original lights

Vijay

I really like these any ideas where i can get them from????

You have to be joking surely? Those are absolutely grotesque! :hurl:

They are part of the Wings West Kit I believe as the only other place i've seen them is on the Wings West 300zx. So someone who deals with there kits should be able to help. I think i've seen them on http://www.z32.com, but not certain.

I quite like the look of these lights on this car but I have seen them on other zeds and they look cheap and tacky.

If you could create a "proper" ferarri looking conversion for the zed you could make some money.

All the other ones are too small and often look like caravan lights...

markzx - those rear lights in your latest picture (6 round lights) are they on mass sale or a one off?
