Mardy Z owners

Saw a Z in leicester to night, felt pleased like you do,sounded my horn while i was driving past the petrol station he was filling up at, and young guy looks at me in a gormles kind of way as i drove away i wish i had not botherd,it was at 7.50pm this evening so the guy could not have seen my face so therefore could have not been offended by my mug

About severn weeks ago in my home town of Derby at a place called Marketon island pulled right next to a grey Z,i waved and sounded my horn and guy looks at me like i was somthin he had scraped of the bottom of his shoe,so i wacked up my bass and left him missrable fucker.

I know that not every one who owns a Z is as sad as most of us on this forum but hey! is it not supposed to be about the car, they clearly have spent time and money carefully sellecting there uniqe pride and joy then when they see another (which is quite rare)they go on like they have not noticed you or maybe they think that you dont fall into there criterea of what a Z owner should be(snobbs).I have met some very decent guys on this forum who are very frendly its a shame not every one is a member.

Good got that of my chest.Chas

Agree with you Chas.

Its a strange one, i take it it just boils down to sum peoole being naturally friendly and others not. Wouldn't it be a better place if we all waved! smile.gif smile.gif

I always give a wave too but unfortunately have had the same response. However my ugly mug was on display so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Have had the same myself, but only recently where I live I spotted a blue convertable zed coming towards me,flashed and gave thumbs up, his response was bewilderment and a very late have wave,I genuinely think he was amazed to see another zed...needs to get out more. Now know he is possibley the licencee at a local pub may try and sneak a couple of pics to post up as convertables are well rare. I always try and flash my lights or wave, I drove past a red one the other week and the sun blinded me and I only spotted it as it went past so didnt get chance to say hi - he probly thought i was a miserable sod!

A blue convertable, not many of those around. Could be the metallic blue, SWB, heavily tweaked one that was done by SE.

I saw a grey Z in Aylesbury at Maccy D's last night and waved at the guy, got a wave back too :-) Any of you guys?

All the other Z drivers I've seen in this area haven't been as friendly.. I always try and wave of flash but most of them just drive off and ignore me..

In an effort to balance the Sad Muppets With Zeds V Friendly Zed Owners discussion, I have seen 2 that actively made an effort to notice me. One came barrelling up behind me in Bedford, lights flashing, 4 lads in the car, hanging out of the windows, waving and giving the thumbs up and the 2nd was in MK one night. We had a small race and then turned off into different directions.

Being a lowly Southener and not being familiar with your strange Northern ways wink.gif, what does mardy mean ? Is it miserable ??

Hi Charlie,

I'm based in Derby and have seen some f*cking gorgeous looking 300s kicking around here. Maybe yours is one of the ones I often see!?!?!

I drive a Storm Blue (usually in need of a good clean)..... 'wait for it'.... MK4 Supra! :-0 I can't believe what you're experiencing, as I usually get a toot/wave/whatever from other mk4s and mk3s I see in Derby. I've even chatted with a mk3 owner at some traffic lights.

Anyway, give me a toot (or the Vs, whatever the preference. Hehe) if you see me (K97 SUP)... Take care!

Pete

Hey chaz, If u are ever in nottingham or surrounding area ie loughborough and you see a yellow H reg zed on 18's charging up behind you flashing its lights like they were going out of fasion....... dont be alarmed mate-its only me!!! smile.gif You should drive round notts a bit more, us nottingham zed owners are much more hospitable!

Regards

Luke
