Hello. :)

With only 2 years no claims, you might find it pricey to insure. How old are?

What part of the country are you in as I know someone with 4 of them. And they are a BEAST to insure, and 2 years no claims is a drop inthe ocean towards insuring them. Can I get an AMEN

How cool is that. There seems to be a few Croydon Zeds.

The guy I bought mine from is in Erith. He has some nice ones.

I bought my first Zed from the very same guy ;)

Has he still got his Silver one with the big spoiler? :)

all I can say is GET ONE GET ONE GET ONE!!!......

My Z is without a doubt the best car I've ever owned  (and Ive owned a few, the Z is my 13th eek!) I'm 23 with 2 yrs NCB and insurance isn't too bad (but then again I live in the middle of nowhere where the only crime is badger related).

I've had the pleasure to have driven (not owned) a few nice cars in the past and can honestly say that the Z NEVER fails to put a smile on my face. Even when pootling around town just the rumble of that V6 makes me grin. An awesome car, IF you can afford the fuel bill. Mind you, mines an N/A so it's a lil bit cheaper than a TT to fuel.

Enough of me talking, JUST GET ONE! :hyper:

Don't buy the first one you see.

Buying one from someone on here is a good idea.

Don't be too set on the exact colour / spec you want - just find a nice example.

Learn all the different models - LWB / SWB, Targa / slicktop, TT / NA, Jap / UK, auto/manual.

But DO get one! Awesome cars!

Now that definitely deserves an AMEN, especially if it's from a dealer. you could be lucky tho, as said do plenty of searches here and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Exactly, I was lucky that the first one I saw happened to belong to a guy who was in the trade and deals with a lot of imported cars. This one was actually his own car and he sold it cuz he was getting hold of something new, a 350z iirc.

I got hold of a totally standard, unabused example an haven't looked back.

I bought my first Zed from the very same guy ;)

He sure does and he is ready to sell it for 5k if i am not mistaken. Did he have the leather trim done when you saw it.

I bought the first one I saw! LOL But I did have 2 zed forum owners...Richard Smith and Gio with me.

Other than a few oil leaks, the car's a cracker! :D

Try Elephant for insurance, I pay next to nothing for mine, was as cheaper that the S12 to insure..

oh!! sorry lads, start again shall we. my name is dean (how did u guess?) i live in the west midlands, not far from wolverhampton, im 20 in december which is when i will hopefully have a 300zx tt targa manual, ive got a great site for car insurance if anyone wants to have a look http://www.insuresupermarket.com its great i couldnt believe the quote i got 1800 third party fire and theft, alot cheaper than a supra tt or a GTO, the more i look at the 300zx the more inpatient i become. all in all i will have around 4000 quid, will this be enough for a decent 1 do you think. thanks again

Dean,

It should be as its the wrong time of year to buy one. The ZX market is on the floor. Just try to get a member to go with you when you start looking so you dont get snookered. Good Luck

But DO get one! Awesome cars!

Why do you say that Craig ?

is there any club members near me who would be good enough to come with me to have a look at a few??

Dean, i would be veeeeeeeery careful before you buy one. Insurance is only the first step. They are very expensive cars to run.

I bought mine when i was 19, but i made sure i bought a goodun. Oh, and its an NA too. Wouldnt want to think about replacing turbos etc

£4k will get you a fairly decent early one I would guess.

£1,800 3rd party fire and theft? Jesus H Christ!!

Dude, due to your area, go fully comp...saying that, the premium would shoot up to well over £2k.

So glad I only pay £500 a year fully comp!
