right, drove the Z to the garage today to fill up. Got there no probs whatsoever. FIlled up, paid, got back in the car. Started up and touched the loud pedal SOOO gently to pull away and the car died!....wouldn't do anything at all, couldn't start it for about 30 secs. In the end the only thing that worked was to stick it in park, remove the keys and try again. This worked.

i reckon it was not quite in park when starting or half cocked as i call it...easliy done when your rushing...if its an auto ?...other died engine probs are mostly the PTU having dry joints

must be something to do with PTU then, cuz I took the keys out of the ignition to lock the car when I went in to pay.

This would give an ECU error code it it was.

 

I still think it was not in park.
